The post-holder will be managed by the academic Immunology Theme Lead, Professor Paul Klenerman. To assist with interdepartmental integration and support their professional development, the post-holder will also have a further, informal, line management relationship with the Head of Research Strategy and Funding for the Medical Sciences Division and participate as part of that team.
The post holder will develop the strategic objectives of the theme, organise and support meetings and seminars, support strategic funding opportunities and recruitment efforts. You will also be required to develop and maintain a website and represent the Immunology Network activities within the University, as well as to external funders and industry.
The post holder will have experience of managing major research programmes in academic and/or industrial settings, as well as having experience of successful grant writing and securing grant funding.
To be considered for this position you should be educated to degree level. Having previous University experience or relevant industrial experience would be desirable for this post.
This post is part-time and fixed term for 2 years.
Grade: 8 (potentially 7)
Salary: £44,414 - £52,841
